Feel Like You Are
Carrying More Than
You Can Explain?

Most people who come here say, “I don’t even know where to begin.” That is okay. You don’t need the perfect words to start healing, but a safe space that understands you. Haptherapy exists to offer that warm, gentle, & culturally fluent support

Having inner support is the best cure for a heavy life.

Hap Therapy's Journey

This practice didn’t begin in a classroom, but in the lived realities many South Asians know too well: leaving home young, adapting to a new country, carrying expectations quietly, navigating loneliness, & learning motherhood the hard way.

Mrs Hareesma Amutha Venkatesan brings to you her lived and professional experience, blending both her personal journey & her clinical training. As a Tamil-speaking Indian woman who arrived in Canada as an international student, she has lived through identity conflict, immigration stress, family expectations, postpartum emotional changes, & managing everything alone in a foreign country.

Hareesma's Values & Beliefs

"My work is guided by authenticity, hope, and empowerment. I show up honestly and with care, meeting people as they are and exploring what feels true and meaningful for them. I believe change is always possible, and that people already carry the wisdom and strength they need to heal - my role is simply to help bring awareness to patterns and support choices that reflect who they truly are.”

The Way Therapy Works Here.

Here is what you can expect when we work together:
"I show up with warmth, presence, and genuine care. This is a space where you can speak freely without having to explain or justify your feelings. I listen closely, reflect your insights with clarity, and offer gentle guidance when you need direction. I believe every person carries an inner resilience shaped by their story, culture, and lived experiences. My role is to help you reconnect with that strength, move through emotional challenges with support, and take grounded, meaningful steps toward a version of life that feels more authentic, compassionate, and easeful for you."

1. A Gentle First Step

We begin with a complimentary 15-minute call in a calm space to discuss your concerns and determine if this is a good fit.

2. Your First Session

The first session focuses on your story, what brought you here, and the support you’re seeking. You set the pace; I listen with care.

3. Ongoing Sessions

Therapy unfolds with warmth and light structure, clear focus, practical tools, reflective prompts, and culturally aware support.

4. What Changes Over Time

Many clients experience greater clarity, emotional balance, and confidence in handling life’s challenges.

5. A Safe, Shared Space

Everything you share is confidential. You choose what to explore, and I walk alongside you with empathy and grounded guidance.
